PEPSI football challenge
StarPaper June 14 2008. PEPSICO and Permanis made their way into the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) with the Longest Football Dribble record, stretching 86.8km during a 12-hour non-stop dribbling session in Kuala Lumpur.The challenge began at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa at 10am with celebrity the ball and passing it to another TV personality. The dribble ended at the same venue at 10.05pm.
Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Ismail Sabri Yaakob witnessed the grand finale at the goalpost. Also present at the finale were celebrity dribblers Phat Fabes, Ben Ibrahim, Vandall, Christien New, Lavin Seow, DJ Steve, David Lai and Alam.

Thats a first . The last time I played in a football match , I knocked my head so hard on the goal post ( I was the goal keeper ) , an egg shape benjol materialized on my forehead …and that my lovely friends , is a long long time ago .
A big THANK YOU goes out to MIKE YIP for taking the pictures for the night . As you can see , at this particular time , I was still walking with both my legs !

I honestly had a great time during the event but felt mighty guilty for dribbling less that a meter long … The next event I have with football is with the Chelsea football team ! ( who are coming down to Malaysia ) Can’t wait for that to happen ! Hope my leg recovers soon and I can have a penalty shoot out with Frank Lampard …Which I’m sure to win of course .

Glad you enjoyed the event.. But hope it didn’t blind you to the fact that - it’s one of those stupid-ass, gay, classic-Bolehland idiotic, uselss “longest”, “biggest” events. Except with celebrities and a major sponsor, but still idiotic at the core.
But what the hell, at least everyone had fun. Next, let’s go for the “longest bench-press marathon” (in honor of DDD), or “most people throwing paper aeroplanes at once” at Dataran Merderka, or “longest egg passing with a spoon” (just don’t bend the spoon first). The whole world will be amazed at what a accomplished country Malaysia is!
